Ian LewisI am a Software Developer currently living in Tokyo Japan. My current interests are in Web Services (XML-RPC/SOAP), Django, jsonschema, python, and rapid web application development. My other interests include philosophy, Japanese language and culture, and the physical sciences (physics, chemistry, etc.). Projects I've worked on include a JSON Schema validator implementation in python, a plugin to integrate Gallery2 photo management software and the b2evolution blogging platform(gallery2_plugin), an XML editor/UI framework written in java (jsXe), a 3 dimensional interactive atomic orbital viewer using gtkmm (gorbital), and a program that reads temperature data from a 232DTT digital thermometer and thermostat made by B&B Electronics (232dtt). See: Projects I am fluent in Japanese and maintain a blog in Japanese. I am a liberal. I believe that software should be open and free (as in freedom) software. I believe that removing the obsticles preventing the ability to learn from, customize, and contribute to a piece of software is the key to the future of software development. I'm currently using Debian GNU/Linux. Feel free to E-mail me anytime. |
